We train with one end goal in mind: Street Self Defense-no points, no submission, no octagon or cage Just survival.
Savate and Tae Kwon Do are kicking arts, Jujitsu is a grappling art; Boxing is a punching art; Defensive Tactics is the art of survival. Unlike fighting for sport, where both competitors try to achieve victory by knockout, submission, or by points, the primary goal of defensive tactics is self preservation. Let’s face it, most of us aren’t trying to be the next UFC world champ (if you are, click here for info on our MMA program). More than likely, you’ll be accosted on your way to the store or the mailbox, or while walking your dog, and you just want to learn a realistic way to survive. When the focus is survival, there is no need to aggressively go after your opponent. What we will teach you, just as we have taught elite security, law enforcement, and military personnel, (as well as girl scouts, and other community groups) is to evade, intercept, then terminate your adversary. We do not teach how to brawl, we teach how to cheat, and to survive an attack with surgical precision. |

Our Training Philosophy · Everyone who wants to learn is always welcome. · Everyone will be treated with respect. · Each student is taught based on their individual abilities. Strengths will be made stronger and under developed areas will be strengthened. · No one gets hurt. Aggressive behavior shows a lack of respect for your training partners, and a lack of willingness to properly control and execute a technique. · Overly aggressive individuals will be asked to leave. · There are no secret tricks. Anyone can become proficient. Determination-you must want to do this, dedication-consistent training and drilling, discipline-I can show you how to do it, but only you can do it. · Keep in mind everyone looses at sometime. After a defeat, show the courage and fortitude to come back and not loose the same way again. Someone who quits never gets better. |
