Our Mixed Martial Arts training program has two objectives: 1. Learn the techniques and applications for fighting 2. Become the best martial athlete possible
Martial Arts: Jeet Kune Do was the original mixed martial art. As early as the late 60’s, Bruce Lee was training in four ranges of fighting: Kicking, punching, trapping or clinch, and the ground. With our MMA program you will learn the sport aspect of all four ranges. First you will develop precise kicking and punching techniques and learn to execute them with pin-point accuracy. Although the art of trapping has given way to Brazilian Jujitsu and May Thai Kick Boxing, you will learn that trapping is not just a bunch of techniques, it is a range of combat. We use elements and training methods from a number of different systems including Brazilian Jujitsu, Thai Boxing, and Wing Chung to develop our attributes in trapping range. Our ground game is comprised of elements of Brazilian Jujitsu, Shooto, and Combat Submission Wrestling.
Fitness: Each sport has specific training drills that will help the athlete achieve maximum effectiveness. A martial athlete must develop strength, endurance, and control in each range of fighting. From footwork to the ground, from kicking to take downs, from stability to balance, you will learn and practice exercises that will elevate each aspect of your game to the highest possible level. Our expertise in fitness and conditioning will allow you to get stronger and faster in a short amount of time without injury. Check out our Martial Arts Fitness Training
FYI: We are not interested in training brawlers and thugs. We will only train serious people who truly want to learn martial arts and are willing to put their egos aside to become great martial athletes.
