If you have muscle or joint pain, there is a good chance that it is caused by a muscular imbalance.
· Corrective Exercise addresses the body as a whole to improve functional movements and correct any muscular imbalances caused by injury, a sedentary lifestyle, or repetitive movements.
· The imbalances or alterations in your movement system will lead to over-active and under-active muscular relationships causing increased stress on the joints and muscle tissue.
· The increased stress leads to movement dysfunctions and eventually pain and injury in your muscles and joints.
Corrective Exercise fills the gap that is left by your Orthopedist, Physical Therapist, or Chiropractor
· First your doctor fixes the problem
· Then you see a physical therapist to start rehabilitation. However in most states the physical therapist can only address the initial issue. For example, you have your knee operated on; the physical therapist can only work on the musculature and stability at the knee.
· We know through kinesiology that everything is connected. If you hurt your knee it will affect your hip and ankle. If you hurt your hip it can affect your spine, neck, and head.
· It has been proven that if you go into surgery strong, you will come out strong. Prior to surgery, we will help you gat as strong as possible to improve your recovery and rehabilitation time.
· After surgery, we will work with your physical therapist to help you achieve total body health and function |
